Former KMS Kindergarten Teacher, Sam Cerdena is amazed that three things he loves are finding a way to come together this summer at KMS day camps. He has been an avid comic reader since the age of seven. It’s a pleasure for him to be able to share his third love, which is passing on things he cares about to his students. He hopes that the process of bringing a story to life with pictures and words is able to bring creativity and imagination to the forefront of an amazing summer!
Comic Book Making Available in Session 3 only
All camp registration is done through our online form:

He started working with children through volunteer work at Faith Bible Church of San Francisco, and has worked and directed several programs that catered to the care of children from preschool to High School ages. He also worked in the Kindergarten classroom at Jose Ortega Elementary School. Sam earned his Associate Degree with a major in Child Development at City College of San Francisco
“Here at KMS, I not only get to practice what I know, but I get to experience the warmth in knowing that I’m not just teaching these kids, but also that they are teaching me as well. I hope to use some of my skills and special interests, like playing the guitar or telling jokes, to be a positive influence in the lives of these kids that hopefully will be remembered.”
